Somen noodle

Somen wheat noodles are long, very smooth and thin, and when raw they resemble taut, frozen white threads. Served boiled, stewed, or sautéed with butter and soy sauce, usually hot. It's used as a side dish for vegetable or meat salads and in a variety of hot soups.
